The End Is Just The Beginning

This blog was created for a class that I am taking this semester at Rutgers University. However, I quickly realized that there is so much opportunity that can be created just by having a blog. I was able to tie in content from different facets of my work and my assignments. Overall, this course has…

Gamer Memes LUL XD

For this blogpost, I have chosen three memes that I believe are related to my blog’s theme of computer technology and computer gaming. These three memes are NPC Wojak, Money Printer Go Brr, and Galaxy Brain. These meme templates are used in a lot of different themes and subcultures, but there are many adaptations of…

Help Find A Cure to COVID-19 with your computer!

In light of recent events, I thought I should share the amazing things that the Folding@Home team is doing to help fight against Corona Virus in the form of a podcast. Yes, self-quarantining and social distancing are really great tips for minimizing the spread of COVID-19, but what steps are being taken to actually fight…

What is The TechCorner?

My name is Parth, and I have created this blog “The TechCorner” to share the latest news and information about the computer technology market! Growing up as a kid, I would always obsess over the latest computer processors and graphics cards because I loved to see the rapid improvements in computer performance every year. It’s always been so intriguing to see how quickly computer technology grows, changes, and impacts real world situations. 10 to 15 years ago, computer performance was way slower than what we are used to today. Operations that used to take hours, now take minutes thanks to massive breakthroughs in core processing research and development. Games that used to take a few minutes to load up and be playable, now take seconds to get up and running (this was one of my favorite advancements that was made). Having been a gamer for most of my life, the recent burst of interest in improving the power of personal computing is highly appreciated because not only does that mean I can enjoy my games in the highest quality, it is also really affordable and reasonable! Due to this surge in affordability, I was recently able to build my very own PC instead of searching for which computers has the best specs without sacrificing things I want. Though, I will still be reviewing and looking at prebuilt PCs and laptops to make sure my readers are well aware and informed of all that is new in the tech market. Here at TechCorner, this is what I plan to focus my writing on; finding the newest computer technology releases and information, finding out what products have the best market value as well as professional value, and overall, finding out where your money is best spent. I hope you find what you are looking for here, and if you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact me. Thank you!

Computer Technology and It’s Impact on the Market

It is the year 2020 and computer technology could not be in a better place than it is in right now. Graphics processors have made massive updates in software and hardware aspects. By using lighting physics called Ray Tracing, some computer graphics processors from AMD and Nvidia have been able to use Ray Tracing to process light rays in the most natural and realistic ways, in your computer simulations or games! AMD has also been killing the game with their ultra affordable CPUs and wide range of CPU models to offer a processor for virtually every kind of consumer that is shopping for computer technology in today’s world. Their market value*(see image below) has been on the steady rise for the past few months and it only seems to continue to do that! The latest computer processor from both Intel and AMD have been recording boosted clock speeds of 5 Ghz! This is a huge breakthrough in the computing technology field as the 5 Ghz mark has always been a sort of mythical unreachable limit in the power of computer processors, but now, it is finally being achieved and recorded and available to the consumer for a starting price $3,999 USD. For most everyday users, this kind of CPU is quite overkill and would not the be smart option to buy. Personally, I use a 6-core CPU from AMD known as the Ryzen 5 3600. This CPU does not reach 5 Ghz, but it certainly gets close and that is more than enough for my needs and purposes. Below, is a breakdown** of how that overkill CPU, from AMD, was able to nearly double their market value in just 5 months.
